Legal Services

legal team
From the moment we reach out to a homeless child on the street, our programs at Casa Alianza are designed to lead abandoned children from the streets into a productive and happy life.

The Legal Services team plays a key role in making this possible. Many of the children and teens we care for do not have any form of legal documentation, such as birth certificates or national identity documents, and have no idea how to obtain them. In order for children and teens to be able to reintegrate into society, it is vital that they have proper documents. The Legal Services Team provides such services.

In addition, our legal services staff prepares and accompanies our children through any necessary legal processes including family court hearings and criminal cases where children are required to present testimony against traffickers or abusers. Social workers and psychologists operate with them to provide multidisciplinary support.

Our legal teams also provide education to our youth on their human rights and responsibilities as children and citizens and in each country have provided training to thousands of nationals, judges, prosecutors, and government ministers regarding anti-trafficking laws and how to identify and denounce traffickers.
